London, 13th March
With only eight days remaining, the CrowdJustice campaign launched by MRes and PhD students at the University of Chichester has reached 59% of its funding goal. The campaign aims to raise funds for legal action against the university following the termination of a groundbreaking programme in the History of Africa and the African Diaspora.
"We are encouraged by the progress of our campaign and grateful for the support we've received so far," said Jabari, a student impacted by the programme’s termination.
"However, we need your help to reach 100% funding and continue our fight."
The students allege discrimination and breach of contract by the University of Chichester. They are seeking to secure their right to an education and ensure the continued study of Black history within UK academia.
