Save the MRes Campaign Update

Happy New Year, friends and supporters!

As we enter 2024 with renewed focus and ambitions to see our goals come to fruition, we come to you with a couple of important updates.

The struggle continues to secure justice for Professor Hakim Adi and the students affected by Chichester's attack on the study of Black history in Britain.

Since getting underway last year, our campaign has garnered much support to fight the suspension of the MRes in the History of Africa and the African Diaspora and Professor Adi's redundancy.

We want to take this opportunity thank you for your continued support and concern.

Events and dates for your calendar:

“Affirming the History of African and Caribbean People in Britain"

Department of International History Annual Lecture

Thursday 25 January 2024 6.00pm to 7.30pm Professor Adi will deliver this annual lecture from LSE.

We hope you can join us in-person for an invigorating and timely event, with discussion after. Register to attend, here:
